In a previous life, I worked as a financial auditor at a top 20 accounting firm providing assurance services to companies ranging from “small” 500K insurance companies to $1B+ construction contractors, and dozens of companies in-between. After spending thousands of hours fixing the work product of various bookkeeping firms, I decided to leave the firm and start my own operation to provide actual quality financial accounting services. My specialization is as a “fixer,” which means I’m the one you call when your financials records are effectively unusable, and your auditor tells you “We can’t work with these records.”

As a fixer, I’ve worked on companies ranging from small 100K a year solopreneurs to $100M+ established operations. I’ve worked with QuickBooks Online, Freshbooks, Wave, QuickBooks Desktop, Xero, Zoho, Sage, and NetSuite (not including the custom accounting systems and governmental accounting systems that I’ve audited in the past). Regardless of your situation we can get your books in order so you can have peace of mind and know exactly how well your business is performing (and also get the auditors off your back).

I also provide and oversee our other financial accounting services, including payroll, monthly bookkeeping, cash flow forecasting, expense forecasting, financial audit preparation, and accounting system implementations.

Kyle graduated from Marian University in Indianapolis, Indiana, with a B.S. in Finance and Accounting with Summa Cum Laude honors. After graduating, Kyle joined KPMG. LLP. at their Manhattan office in New York, New York, where he served as a financial auditor for large financial institutions and private lending companies. Kyle was responsible for providing assurance to public investors and private lenders that his clients’ financial statements were free from material misstatements and had properly implemented and functioning internal controls. Providing the highest quality of service for large corporations was a great opportunity to learn how “too big to fail” companies conduct business, but Kyle wanted to provide his expertise to small business owners and joined Markoff and Malatesta CPAs in 2024.

Coming from a family of entrepreneurs and small business owners, Kyle understands the peace of mind that a great accountant provides. Kyle dedicates himself to his clients to provide them with accurate and timely financial statements so that they can fully focus on their business instead.

Outside of work, Kyle is a 4x Track and Field All-American and trains for marathons, ultra-marathons, and triathlons.
